Maxine Agnes McKenna
Maxine Agnes McKenna was born on December 23, 1925, in Waterloo, the daughter of Theodore and Christine (Schmitz) Beck. Maxine attended St. Mary of Mt. Carmel School in Eagle Center and graduated in 1943. She was a nanny for Dr. and Mrs. Cooper in Waterloo and also worked at National Bank in Waterloo. Michael Ross Hite was born on December 3rd, 1945, to Harold and Eileen Hite, at Mercy Hospital. Mike was the fourth of seven children who grew up in Vinton, Iowa. After graduating Vinton High school, Mike was drafted in the U.S. Army and went to the Vietnam War where he was an E5 Sargent. After serving, he came home went back to his job of tuckpointing.
