Colleen Christina Maynard, 85, passed away in the loving care of her family on Saturday, March 4, 2023, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday March 11, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Urbana with Father Jim Brokman officiating. Jerald “Jake” L. Nekola, 67, of Elberon, IA passed away after a courageous 7-year battle with cancer, February 23, 2023 at the Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha, IA.Jerald was born October 12, 1955 to Edward and June (Dolash) Nekola in Marshalltown, IA. He worked for 4 County Co-op/Heartland Co-op.Jake enjoyed helping others mowing, shoveling, he was a hard worker and shared his work ethic with others. Thomas F. Ritter
Thomas F. Ritter, 77, of Cedar Rapids, IA (formerly of Belle Plaine, IA) passed away March 3, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.Tom was born March 21, 1945 to Lester Ritter and Norma (Robert) Coulter in Waverly, IA. Victor "Vic" August Barnholdt, 79, passed away at his home in Swisher, Iowa, Feb. 25, 2023. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Albert Ernst and Florence (Baker) Barnholdt on Jan. 29, 1944. He grew up in Van Horne, Iowa, getting into mischief with siblings and neighborhood friends – one time rolling a 10ft snowball down the main street of Van Horne and leaving it there. Patricia Joyce Fligg, 83, of Atkins, Iowa, and formerly of Batavia, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Batavia, Iowa, with Pastor Tom Shipley officiating. Burial will be in the Eldon Cemetery immediately following the service, with a luncheon to follow at the Calvary Baptist Church. Eldora Rose Seegers
Eldora Rose Seegers, 95, of Marion, Iowa, died on March 1, 2023, at Meth-Wick Care Facility due to colon cancer. Per her wishes, she has been cremated. A private burial will take place for the family to reunite Eldora with Merv.Eldora, daughter of Henry and Wilhelmina (Stumme) Lobeck was born April 1, 1927, in rural Readlyn, Iowa. Douglas William “Doug” Welter, 65, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.Graveside services will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo at a later date.Doug was born April 29, 1957 in Waterloo, the son of Vincent and Ann (McDermott) Welter. He graduated from Waterloo Columbus High School with the class of 1976.

The Studer and Stodola families sorrowfully announce the passing of their son, fiancé, brother, and uncle, Erik Studer. Erik, 26, died on Wednesday, March 1. Erik was born on June 28, 1996, in Des Moines to Dean and Christine Studer. He grew up and lived in Vinton, Iowa.
