Kevin Lee Mohler, 61, of Marion died Monday, March 6, 2023 at home surrounded by his family after a year-long battle with stomach cancer.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation is caring for Kevin and his family.Kevin is survived by his wife of 40 years, Terri; 3 daughters, Nicole Mohler (Adam Diaz) of Marion, Casey (Jonathan) Fasselius of Marion and Jacklyn (Joseph) Tallerico of Shellsburg; grandchildren, Riley and Teddy Diaz, Waylon Fasselius, Felix and Sylvia Tallerico; sister, Karen (Thomas) Sauerbry; and cousin, Brenda Peel.

Martin J. Schulte, 60, of Norway, IA passed away March 2, 2023, peacefully at the Compass Memorial Hospital in Marengo after a lengthy battle with Cancer.Martin was born on January 28th, 1963 to Edward and Betty (Tehel) Schulte of Norway, IA.  Martin graduated from Norway High School in 1981. After high school Martin attended Kirkwood Community College to study machining technology.

Kirk Albert Tumilty, 85, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 in Shellsburg, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, March 10, 2023 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton with Rev. Brian Reeves officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday, March 9, 2023 also at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place following the service with military honors.

Colleen Christina Maynard, 85, passed away in the loving care of her family on Saturday, March 4, 2023, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday March 11, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Urbana with Father Jim Brokman officiating. A rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM on Friday at the church, Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Friday also at the church.

Jerald “Jake” L. Nekola, 67, of Elberon, IA passed away after a courageous 7-year battle with cancer, February 23, 2023 at the Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha, IA.Jerald was born October 12, 1955 to Edward and June (Dolash) Nekola in Marshalltown, IA. He worked for 4 County Co-op/Heartland Co-op.Jake enjoyed helping others mowing, shoveling, he was a hard worker and shared his work ethic with others.

Thomas F. Ritter, 77, of Cedar Rapids, IA (formerly of Belle Plaine, IA) passed away March 3, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.Tom was born March 21, 1945 to Lester Ritter and Norma (Robert) Coulter in Waverly, IA. He graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in Delhi. Following school, he worked for the Manchester lumber yard.

Victor "Vic" August Barnholdt, 79, passed away at his home in Swisher, Iowa, Feb. 25, 2023. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Albert Ernst and Florence (Baker) Barnholdt on Jan. 29, 1944. He grew up in Van Horne, Iowa, getting into mischief with siblings and neighborhood friends – one time rolling a 10ft snowball down the main street of Van Horne and leaving it there.

Patricia Joyce Fligg, 83, of Atkins, Iowa, and formerly of Batavia, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Batavia, Iowa, with Pastor Tom Shipley officiating. Burial will be in the Eldon Cemetery immediately following the service, with a luncheon to follow at the Calvary Baptist Church.
