Vinton election set for Tuesday; Auditor's office offers reminders, notice about 3rd Ward write-in campaign

With the city elections in Vinton and all other towns in Iowa set for tomorrow, the Benton County Auditor's Office has made a couple of public announcements for voters to keep in mind, particularly concerning the write-in campaign under way in the city's 3rd Ward.

More Court-Appointed Special Advocates needed for Benton County children in need

The recent deaths of some juveniles in foster care in Iowa shows the need for more CASAs -- Court-Appointed Special Advocates -- for the children who are in the foster care system And says Jim Hessenius, who works with Benton County children, many more volunteers are needed here.
