Benton County Republicans Meeting June 9th

The Benton County Republicans will hold their monthly meeting Tuesday night, June 9th, at 7 p.m.  The meeting will be at the Van Horne Community Center. Business will include planning for the next caucus to convention cycle, upcoming fundraisers, and other related details.  Benton County Republicans are encourage to attend.

Benton Co. Democrats to meet in Van Horne June 16

The regular meeting of the Benton County Democrats will be held in Van Horne  at the community center at 7:00pm on June 16, 2015. We will be working on  the up-coming elections. Anyone interested in helping is invited to this  important meeting. NOTE THE CHANGE OF LOCATION.

Benton County Supervisors Meeting Minutes, May 26

May 26, 2015                   The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Frese, Hertle and Wiley present.  The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.                 Moved by Wiley, seconded by Hertle, to approve the minutes of May 19, 2015, with the change concerning the clarification on the placement of the Kiwanis wagon.

Board of Supervisors Minutes May 15

May 19, 2105 The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Frese, Hertle and Wiley present. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. Moved by Wiley, seconded by Hertle, to approve the minutes of May 12, 2015, as corrected. All members voting aye thereon. Motion carried. Moved by Hertle, seconded by Wiley, to set June 16, 2015, at 9:15 a.

Garwood, Hoff earn honors in Mercy Nursing program

Vinton natives Hollie Garwood and Jessica Hoff were among Over 80 students were recognized during the ceremony for excelling in academics and extra-curricular activities while demonstrating leadership and personal growth during their time at Mount Mercy. Both earned membership in the Kappa Xi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.
