The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in special session at 8:00 a.m. at the Cedar Valley Ranch. They viewed the new roof along with members of the CVR Board and discussed the FY Audit.
Nate Edwards has joined the list of candidates hoping to win in the Nov. 7 city elections. He has announced a write-in candidacy for the 3rd Ward City Council seat.
Editor's Note: During Tuesday's forum, we heard from declared candidates for Mayor Dean Haack, Bud Maynard and Rich Hainstock, as well as City Council candidates Brian Parr, Ron Hessenius and Gary Garwood.
Vinton Today is working with Vinton Unlimited and Just Us to host a candidate forum on Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. at the Tilford Auditorium.
The forum will allow an hour for questions prepared by the organizers, followed by questions from the public.
