Grassley to meet Vinton residents July 2
WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley will hold three town meetings in Eastern Iowa during the week of June 29 as part of his annual 99-county tour.
The senator plans to be in Vinton from 4:45 to 5:45 this Thursday, July 2, at Vinton City Hall.
Grassley has held a meeting in each of Iowa’s 99 counties at least once every year since he was first elected to the U.

The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Frese, Hertle and Wiley present. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
Moved by Wiley, seconded by Hertle, to approve the request from Vinton Unlimited to use the courthouse lawn on July 23, 2015, for events associated with RAGBRAI. Vinton Unlimited is responsible for enforcing the no smoking law, cleaning up the grounds, and that no vehicles are to be parked on the lawn.

Fall Internships applications available for College age students
Applications Due July 15
Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa said today that fall internships for college-age Iowans are available, and applications are due July 15.
Internships are available in Grassley’s Washington, D.C., office as well as his offices in Cedar Rapids, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Des Moines, Sioux City and Waterloo.
