Dodge chooses Monkeytown van with Tharp graphics for ProMaster van ads

Monkeytown's new van, with a Tharp Design graphic, will soon be seen throughout the U.S. Two creative Vinton businesses will be featured in Dodge ads in the Inc Magazine in the near future. Monkeytown recently purchased the new ProMaster cargo van, which is especially designed to help haul larger loads. Monkeytown driver Bob Mahood will be featured in the commercials, driving the van, discussing how much he likes its features, and making his area deliveries.

Revolving Loan Fund offers assistance to new, expanding businesses in area

The Revolving Loan Fund (RLF), administered by the East Central Iowa Council of Governments (ECICOG), has provided over $3 million in loans, which have leveraged an additional $29 million in matching loans, for businesses within a six county region. These loans assist new and existing businesses in development and expansion within Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Linn and Washington counties.

Vinton Trophy & Awards has new owners

Ashley Hesson began creating trophies in March, after she and Nate bought the business. After running Vinton Trophy & Awards for 25 years, Lee and Barb Smith recently sold the business to Nate and Ashley Hesson. Ashley began operating the business n March, out of their home in Vinton. “I'm really excited about taking over,” said Ashley. “Barb and Lee have done a fantastic job of building the business into a well--oiled machine that produces high-quality work and great customer service.
