Deanna L. (Anders) Kerker, 59, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 due to complications of long term Covid 19.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. A celebration of Deanna’s life will also be held at a later date. Peggy M. Schmelzer
Peggy M. Schmelzer, 72, of Kewanee, died Sunday, May 15, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Peggy was born March 17, 1950, in Council Bluffs, IA, the daughter of Warren T. and Barbara M. (McCann) Krehbiel. She graduated from Notre Dame High School, Burlington, IA, and attended Scott Community College, Burlington, IA and Black Hawk College. Steven Charles Schwab
Steven Charles Schwab, 72, of Belle Plaine, Iowa passed away May 13, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.Steven was born May 3, 1950 in Belle Plaine, IA to Charles Henry and Gladys Mary (Hoyt) Schwab following the passing of his mother he was raised by his father and step-mother, Dorothy (Kramer) Schwab. Jerry Wayne Keel, age 65, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at his home in Shellsburg, following a short illness. Per Jerry’s wishes, he will be cremated and will have a private family burial. Jerry was born on June 24, 1956 at Vinton to Wilbert and Audrey (Husted) Keel. He graduated from Shellsburg High School with the class of 1974. Jerry worked as an electrical technician at Rockwell Collins prior to completing his degree and starting his own business, Keel Electric, in which he repaired TV’s, stereos and small appliances. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, May 16, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until service time. Tracy was born Feb. 27, 1970, to Duane Bevins and Diane (Tesdahl) McCarte.She is survived by her lifelong partner of 25 years, Mark Rocarek; her children, Cassie (Adam) O'Shogay, Karissa McAtee, Genna Rocarek and Tanner Rocarek; three brothers, Robert Bevins, Brett Bevins and Shawn McCarte; and her faithful four-legged companion, Peaches.
